Dear Miss Emily:
When I drink, I tend to do thing s that hurt my boyfriend. I don't mean to these things. Now he's wondering if he wants to be with me. I love he with all my heart, and I tell him that. I have never cheated on him, but when alcohol is in my system I flirt a lot and talk a lot of shit but nothing happens in the end. I need some advice on how to make him stay with me.
--------------------------------Miss Emily's advice--------------------------
There's no magic elixir, here. If he doesn't like the way you behave under the influence of alcohol, I don't think words can convince him it's all harmless play. I think he wants to be with someone who doesn't make him look like a fool (make others think you don't really care for him), or he's simply embarrassed by the way you behave. I mean, think about it. If you were with a guy who drank and, then, became a flirt and talked shit, how would you feel? I think you'd be hurt and embarrassed. Sometimes, in order to see things clearly, you need to see it from the other side. Maybe you and alcohol aren't a good mix if you plan on having a steady boyfriend. If you were single, it would be a different scenario -- but that doesn't mean you couldn't be judged harshly by others even if that were the case.
