Dear Miss Emily:
Hi, i would like to know if you could tell me how I can know if a 16-17 year old guy is lying to me by his body language, or the way he talks, or whatever? And if he likes me ? Thanks !!
------------------------------Miss Emily's advice-----------------------
That's a tough question, but I will do my best to answer it. People who are not in a habit of lying usually have trouble with eye contact, or something about the way they said it doesn't seem natural. But a skilled liar can look at you in the eyes, and it sounds like the most sincere thing that he (or she) has ever said. Body language? Well, being stiff shows nervousness reticence, or fear. Touchy-feely is a sign of confidence, and a show of affection. That said, the consummate "player" is often skilled at words, and use of limbs, etc. I think it's best to get to know the guy (or anyone for that matter) to gage his sincerity. I also think actions, most always, speak louder than words. He has to follow through on what he says. He has to make an effort. He should be a good listener, and respect you -- bottom line.
