Dear Miss Emily:

I've been vegetarion for 14+ years and vegan for 7 years now.  I made a friend back in 2007, and we usually go to dinner and a movie.  He is obese (350+ lbs).  He recently started riding his "self-righteous broom" and he started to demand that I offer him some of my vegan food.  I told him that I can't because he won't be able to offer me his food.  He told me bluntly that I should "order more food."  He said that since we are friends, I should offer him some of my food.  I don't think this is fair.  Please let me know what you think.

---------------------------------Miss Emily's advice---------------------------

If he's 350 lbs., there's a big possibility he's irrational about his eating habits, and it's spilled over into being completely, and absurdly selfish. You have no obligation to offer him any of your food. You order what you want, and he orders what he wants. Stick to your guns, and don't give in to his silly summary of this situation. If he takes umbrage with you saying "You can have what I don't eat, but until I decide when I'm finished, this is mine to eat", risk losing the friendship. It seems to me he's more concerned about his stomach than what's fair.
