Dear Miss Emily:
My ex dumped me because she said I'm not the kind of person she would want to tell people she's going out with. What should I do?
----------------------------Miss Emily's advice-------------------------
With a girlfriend like that, who needs an enemy? This is insulting, to say the least, and you need to think about that. If you have any pride/self-esteem, you'd be glad this nasty girl moved on. You have to be accepted for who you are, and not something someone thinks you should be. I know this hurts, but it's better to get out of this relationship now than continue to blindly think you're okay in her eyes, when she's shallow enough to care more about image, and the fact your don't measure up in her eyes. Take time to heal, but move on. There are girls out there who would be proud to have you as their squeeze. Any improvements you want to make in your life should come from within - a willingness to do so. Never let anyone coerce you into being something you are not. It's a prison without being physically confined.
