Dear Miss Emily:
My girlfriend dumped me two days after telling me she is crazy about me and wants to be w/ me for a long time. She told me i make her happy, no one has ever treated her better and she is attracted to me -- but didn't feel it as strong as i did. Now she wont talk to me. I love her, and want her back, but what can I do? I over did it w/ texting and emailing trying to get answers. Is it out of the question she will come back? I love her and wanna be w/ her -- and just two days before she dumped me felt the way I did, or so i thought. How can she say she is crazy about me, then dump me; saying there is no other guy . . .. it doesnt add up.
------------------------Miss Emily's advice----------------------
There may be some other guy in the picture, despite her flowery words to you. But if she just isn't feeling the love, perhaps she was trying to build you up in order for her to make it easier to let you down. You're never going to get her back by being wimp-like. I know this hurt you terribly. You are a feeling, loving guy. But when it comes to letting someone down in matters-of-the-heart, that is when you can get deceived if the courage isn't there to be more forthcoming. Don't discount the fact that she did say she didn't feel as strongly as you did. Please don't push this, because it's demeaning to you. If she wants you back, she'll let you know. In the meantime, lick your wounds and keep telling yourself that you have all the right elements to make a good relationship work.
