Dear Miss Emily:

Ok
, so my girlfriend has been going to rock shows for a few years now, always front row etc. However, she is now 3 months pregnant with my child and, yet, last night she went to a big rock concert, front row, of which her ex was playing in. When i told her, that though i was ok with her going to the show, front row, pregnant, at her exs band was a bit overwhelming. She told me to grow up and not ruin her night. Am i out of line for feeling like this? i know she loves me and i trust her, but that to me is a moral issue. I would never do something like that to her. She doesn't understand where im coming from. Please give me some advice.

-----------------------------Miss Emily's advice-----------------------

If you really do trust her, I don't think it matters where she sat at the concert. Front row seems to be her thing. She seems like a free spirit but, once the baby comes, front row at any concert will have to take a back seat to the new baby. She can't just palm the baby off on you because her urge for the life of a groupie takes precedence in her life. And that's what you really need to be concerned about. Is she grown up enough to be a good mother, and a mature partner to you? If not, no matter where she sits at a concert, that issue will be secondary to other issues of responsibility.
