Listen, if he's telling some people he's not in a relationship, and he's led you to believe he is, he's either embarrassed by it, or he's hedging his bets in order to keep his options open. He is neither respectful of you, nor takes this relationship seriously. What you do with this information is up to you but, if it were me, I'd tell him to take a hike. You deserve better than this, but you have to realize it.
