Emily:
I got two guys in my life that i really care about. But i know that i have to chose one and it's really hard! I love one and I like the other one. The guy I love, loves me back just as much and maybe more. We understand each other and I can always go to him for good advice. However, he is hard to deal with sometimes. He disappears for days, and sometimes weeks without a reason and this hurts a lot. He is also hard to handle during fights.
The other guy, loves me so much but i don't. I just like him. I like having him around. He is so caring and definitely does not leave me alone for days like the guy i love. He treats me so good and even when i am mad he does not fight back. He finds a way to make me happy. The problem with him is that he gets too be pushy sometimes. I am about to lose this guy if i don't make a decision right now. What should i do?
-------------------------Miss Emily's advice----------------------
Any guy that disappears for days and weeks, without a word, does not love you as much as you think he does -- or he has tremendous "issues" that will, ultimately, destroy the relationship the longer you stay with him. He is inconsistent and not reliable in a most fundamental way, and I wonder why you think a guy like this is going to make you happy long term. And I use the word "happy" loosely, because when he's missing in action, it must drive you crazy. Why you accept his rather odd behavior is a question in itself. The other guy may offer many of the qualities you want, but you don't love him, and you can't force love. It's great that he knows how to treat a female -- a big plus -- but you can get that type of relationship from a loyal friend, or family member. I would think long and hard about being with either guy. With almost 7 billion people in the world, nothing says you have to choose either one of these men. I would strongly consider telling both of them that you are no longer available and seek greener pasture. This takes guts, but if you're realistic about both of these relationships, it shouldn't be all that hard to face facts.
