Dear Emily,
I am a female and I am 19 years old. I am leaving the country. I have a girlfriend that is 16 years old. Should I end the relationship before I go. We have been dating for 11 months almost a year.

If you're leaving to relocate, and this is not a vacation, yes, I think it would be wise to end the relationship. Long-distance relationships are hard in the best circumstances. This girl is 16, and her mobility is probably quite limited. The fact that you asked me the question, makes me think you believe this is the best plan, as well.
