Dear Emily,
I have been seeing this guy on and off for six years. We did not have an exclusive relationship, but are still seeing each other. My question. We were both invited to a mutual friend's wedding. We decided that we would not bring anyone.Q. Was it disrespectful for him to show up with another women?

If you and he decided to not bring a guest then, yes, it was disrespectful -- and it shows how much he really cares about the relationship he has with you. This incident should trigger the need for you to reassess why this on-and-off relationship is even worth it. No commitment isn't a license to be thoughtless.
