Dear Miss Emily:

I found out that the man I have been involved with has had a live-in girlriend all the while he's been coming to see me. What kind of man does this kind of stuff knowing that in the end someone will eventually get hurt when what he's doing comes to the light? As far as I am concerned, this man obviously doesn't care anything at all about his live in girlfriend, and is totally uncommited to her.
Why won't he just tell me the truth?

He's totally uncommitted to the both of you! The type of man who does this is a selfish, and gutless man who uses deception as the only way to get what he wants. He doesn't have any respect for her (an understatement) and, in case you didn't realize this, he has none for you.  He won't tell you the truth, but you should tell him what you know. And what you do after that is up to you. If it were me, I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him and dump him faster than I could say "Bob's your uncle."
