Dear Miss Emily:
So I was about to date this guy I was talking to a couple of months, ago, but then we had a huge argument. Right after I found out he's dating this girl like 2 hours away. Well, during the time I was talking to this guy who's his best friend, and he flirts with me -- and I guess he likes me! Guy 1, who dated some girl, knew his best friend likes me and was jealous. They had a lot of misunderstanding so they're not friends anymore. I was heart broken because guy 1 is dating some other girl. I really liked him, and he met my family. Now thinking he will never come back, I started talking to guy 2 (which was his best friend) so now were dating. But I still think about guy 1 and, out of nowhere, guy 1 starts talking to me again, and said he made a mistake that he should have chose me! Now I'm talking to both of them, and I feel more secure with guy 1 than guy 2. I don't know if I should break up with guy 2, and be friends with both of them and see how it goes?
----------------------------Miss Emily's advice-------------------------
First off, if you're not crazy about guy 2, don't lead him on. Jealousy is no way to begin a relationship, and if guy 1 is basing his like for you on the fact that his best friend was interested, and he can't stand the competition, I'd be cautious about getting involved with him, at all! However, I repeat, if guy 2 isn't right for you, let him go. Don't rush, however, into the arms of guy 1. He has to prove to you that he wants you for all the right reasons -- and let him know that. Time to get it right will be your best approach. You want a relationship based on trust and honesty, and not with a guy who has an ego that took a bath because you decided to move on with his best friend. This type of thing has happened to people time-and-time,again, and it's best to know who you're dealing with before you give your heart away to him.
