Lately I've been really confused. There's this guy who I'm in love with, and he loves me, too, unconditionally but the problem is that he isn't exactly stable. He's living at a friend's house, he doesn't have a job, or a car -- and he smokes. I don't know if it's worth it to stay with him, or not. I really love him. What should I do?

These are hard economic times, but you have to discern whether he's just a lazy guy who smokes (smoking alone can be a deal breaker), or fallen on hard times and needs your consideration. Sometimes love isn't enough, because when a person is in a relationship, which may lead to permanency, these issues must be taken into consideration. Again, you need to see the true nature of this person and, if you come to the conclusion that he's just a rolling stone who has little drive to do well in life, you won't respect him (and respect is a must have in any successful relationship), even if you do love certain parts of his character.
